Certified Ice Competitions – All Weekend
Professional Ice Carving Competitions on Friday evening and on Saturday from 8am-4pm. Friday’s Individual Competition will begin at 5:30-7:30pm all along State St – watch the carvers magically turn frozen blocks into works of art!
Fire & Ice Tower Display – Friday at 7:30pm (Immediately Following Individual Competition)
Join us at the official kickoff to our 12th Annual Magical Ice Fest weekend. Guests will view a breathtaking display of fire and ice. Location will be at State and Pleasant Streets.

3rd Annual Ice Fest 5k Chocolate Walk/Run presented by the Sunset Coast Striders – Saturday
Join us for the chilliest timed run in St. Joseph. Along with chocolate filled yumminess, the race will be chip timed by Chris Pawielski at Good Times Event Timing. Trophies will be provided to the overall top female and male as well as medals for the top two age group finishers. Click here to register.
Fourth Annual ICE WARS! – Saturday 4:30-6pm
Located at State and Pleasant Streets, watch pro carvers duel it out in 15 minute bouts of ice-carving chaos! The crowd is the judge for this event as these carvers go head to head to see who can create the best sculpture the fastest.
Snow Biz Scavenger Hunt – All Weekend
Hunt all of our logo sculptures in and around downtown and be entered to win a St. Joseph Today Gift Certificate good at more than 40 locations! Stop in the Welcome Center to get a copy of the scavenger hunt form and learn the fun details. The hunt is available Friday through Sunday of the Ice Festival.
Magical Fun – Saturday
Join local magician John Dudley as he visits several downtown attractions and performs a variety of magic. He is sure to be entertaining for all ages.

The weekend heats up at the Silver Beach Carousel with Waikiki Weekend. Ride a tropical-themed carousel, learn how to hula with live hula dance demonstrations and more!
