The Dowagiac Conservation Club located at 54551 M-51 North, Dowagiac will host the 4th Annual Traditional Archery Shoot Friday, June 27th to Sunday, June 29th. This 3-day event runs Friday and Saturday 8am-Dusk and Sunday 8am-1pm. Admission for adults is $15 a day or $25 for a weekend pass. Kids 16 and under are FREE! Primitive camp sites will be available for $25, which includes a weekend adult pass.
The weekend event is designed for traditional archery enthusiasts with ONLY long bows and recurves permitted. Step into the woods and test your skills on 3 different courses, with over 75 3-D targets. Winding through the natural landscape of the club grounds, the courses feature diverse shot opportunities including elevated platforms, uphill shots and tight brush gaps. The new Swamp Course will likely require boots!
This family friendly weekend is full of events for everyone. Take your aim at a long-distance shot competition, where the winner wins a cash prize. Test your skills by shooting flying targets out of the air with our new aerial machine and shoot throughout the evening under the lights. Join in on the fun during other contests, such as the Clout Shoot, Iron Buck Tournament and Bow Skirmish. Small cost to participate in some events, cash only please. Vendors will be onsite including Lost Nation Archery, Triple J Knives, Karen Jasper, End of the Road Custom Calls and more!
Food and snacks will be available for purchase including an All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast on Saturday the 28th from 8am-10:30am. Lunch on Friday & Saturday to include sloppy joes, hot dogs and chips. Saturday night chicken dinner for attendees.
