August 29 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Peace Lutheran Church NALC, 3590 Lincoln Ave., St. Joseph, will be hosting a Drive-thru Benefit Dinner for Eddie Zajac. Eddie is a Navy Veteran who had his leg amputated above the knee earlier this year following complications from diabetes. The cost is $8.50 for adults and $4.50 for children in advance and $10 for adults and $5 for children at the event. The meal includes choice of bratwurst or hot dog, bun, baked beans, coleslaw, potato chips, dessert and bottled water. Participants are asked to enter through Peace’s Lincoln Avenue driveway. Meals will be served in carryout containers. There will be limited outdoor seating for those who would like to eat at Peace.
