For Colored Girls who have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf.
For Colored Girls…is Ntozake Shange’s first work and most acclaimed theater piece. It consists of a series of poetic monologues.
For Colored Girls… tells the stories of seven women who have suffered oppression in a racist and sexist society.
These poems are not all appropriate for young audiences.
August Garritano and Kelly Carlin took this production around Michiana from February through May. It was performed at The Tin Shop Theatre, South Bend Civic Theatre, Box Factory for the Arts, and produced by The GhostLight in Benton Harbor. And, is now coming to… EUPHORIC STAGE!!!!
