Joshua M. Burgess, 31 of Coloma passed away unexpectedly April 13, 2016.
Services celebrating his life will be 2:00 pm Thursday, April 21 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home where visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm. Joshua was born January 11, 1985 in Berrien Center, Michigan. He graduated in 2004 form Coloma High School and was a member of the Freshwater and Road to Life Church. Josh was loved by many people, touching many hearts along the way. His smile could light up a room and his laugh would echo through the walls. He was a hard working man with many talents as a wrestler, a pastor , and a trainer. He truly loved to sing and play his guitar and bass.
Josh is survived by his parents; Lynda and Kevin Burgess-Smith and a brother Kyle Smith of Coloma. He is also survived by his grandparents; Keith and Joann Burgess; aunts; Julie and Cathy Burgess, Teresa (Tony) Phillips, Mandy (Des) Elliott; cousins; Eric Burgess, Tiffany Schlipp, Hillary (Brian) Edgerly, Hailey (Dan) Robson, Devin Cromer, Whitney (Ian Savickas) Phillips, and Anthony (Kat) Phillips, in addition to many other cousins, relatives, and great friends.
With a heart as big as this world, Josh would always put others first. He loved to rescue people who were in need of help or even just a little down. He was the bright light in every room that will never go dim or be forgotten. He will live in our hearts forever. We love you JB.
