Mother Lillie Mae Hudson was born February 13, 1927 to the late Prentis and Clara Washington in Hayti, MO.
Mother Lillie Mae moved to Benton Harbor, MI in 1946. Lillie Mae was united in Holy matrimony to Willie Hudson in May 1960 and they raised nine children. She was employed for over 32 years as a housekeeper at Mercy Memorial Hospital.
Lillie Mae became a member of Community Church of God In Christ in 1956 under the leadership of the late Bishop Nathaniel Wells Sr. and remained a faithfully member under Bishop Nathaniel W. Wells Jr. and Elder Nathaniel Wells III. Mother Lillie Mae Hudson enjoyed serving on the Usher Board, Mother’s Board, and the Prayer & Bible Band.
Mother Hudson loved her family dearly. She especially enjoyed family dinners at her home; where she took great pride in preparing big meals for them. The look on her face was priceless when she sent each family home with their own pan of homemade rolls.
Mother Hudson also enjoyed singing and listening to Gospel songs. Some of her favorite songs includes “I’m a solider in the army of the Lord”, “Jesus will work it out”, and “When you here of my homegoing don’t worry about me”.
