Teresa Rush-Phillips, 59, of Sodus, MI passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at her home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, July 21, 2017 at Safe Harbor Church, 3552 S. Pipestone Rd., Sodus with Pastor Connie Cavender officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Sodus. Friends may visit from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Safe Harbor Church. Memorials may be made to Safe Harbor Church. Teresa was born in Buchanan, MI to Raymond & Helen (Stephenson) Phillips. She graduated from Dowagiac High School in 1976. On June 10, 1978 she married Bruce Rush in Dowagiac, MI. Teresa worked as a registered nurse for many years. She was a member of Safe Harbor Church. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, reading, listening to gospel music and was an avid University of Michigan fan. She also had a love for animals especially her dog Shotzi.
Teresa is survived by her husband Bruce Rush; daughter Chelsea (Eileen Rodriguez) Rush; son Chad (fiancée Kristie Schultz) Rush; mother Helen Phillips; granddaughter Grace Pearl-Rush; brothers Don (Brenda) Phillips, Terry Phillips; and Duane (Katherine) Phillips; and many nieces and nephews. Teresa was preceded in death by her father.
