Stephen “Steve” M. Lenox, 53, of Niles, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017, surrounded by his loving family, after a very courageous battle with cancer.
Steve was born on April 14, 1964, to Frank E. and Linda L. (Stewart) Lenox in Niles, Michigan. He graduated from Niles High School, class of 1982. Steve’s love and vast knowledge of music inspired many of his friends. The favorite pastime was listening to music and attending concerts. Steve was proud to be called a “Dead Head”. Steve was also proud of his green thumb. He loved gardening, nurturing his plants and watching them grow. Above all, spending time with family and friends was a priority. Steve truly lived on his own terms. He captured his audience with his sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Lenox.
Steve is survived by his children, Josh Lenox and Anabella Lenox, both of Niles, his mother, Linda Lenox (Reg Baker) of Niles, his fiancé, Alana Banicki of Niles, his sister, Stephanie Barker of Findlay, Ohio, a nephew, Seth Barker of Van Buren, Ohio; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
A memorial service to celebrate Steve’s life will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at 1:00 pm at Brown Funeral Home in Niles with a time of visitation beginning at noon.
