Jack Wayne Ream, 83, of Berrien Springs, MI passed away on August 19, 2018 at the Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, MI. He was born on April 20, 1935, to Nelson M. and Virginia E. Ream. On December 8, 1962, he married Diane Merritt, who survives. Together they raised two children, Linda Ream Miller and David Ream.
Jack graduated from Buchanan High School in 1953. On April 5, 1958 Jack joined the U.S. Army where he served in Germany and Viet Nam. He continued to serve his country in the U.S. Army Reserves until February 29, 1964. Jack loved flying and earned his private pilot’s license in 2005.
On May 26, 1990, Jack married Virginia B. Crain, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his children, Linda (Jim) Miller and David Ream and his step-children, Kevin Crain and Karen (Michael) Christopher. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christine (Robert) Cook, Robert (Doris) Crain, David Lee (Angela) Ream, Aaron (Nicolette) White, and his great-grandchildren, Abbey, Andrew, Ashley, Bryson, Evan, Kylie, Mason, Parker, Preston, Savannah and Zoe. A step-son, Dennis Crain, and a granddaughter, Rachel Miller, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be privately held.
