Mary Lou Sykes, 85, of Benton Harbor, MI passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Grace of Douglas, in Douglas, MI. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services.
Mary was born on February 25, 1933, in Watervliet to Fredrick and Luttie (Thomas) Frazee. She was a lifelong nannie to many families in the area. Her passion for child care allowed her to not only care for children in the community but also her own grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her husband, Robert Sykes; son, James (Cindy) Stimson of Millburg; sister, Barbara (Richard) “Sunny” Hiler; grandchildren, Steven, Chad, Jessica, and Joshua; great-grandchildren, Leelind, Lylith and Amelia; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Roy Lamb, and Robert Stimson; sons, Steven and John Stimson; sister, Juanita Baldwin and Cladine Dombrowski
