Richard James Holcomb

Rich was a loving partner, devoted father and friend to many with an amazing sense of humor and one-of-a-kind personality. He will be fondly remembered for his warm hugs, quick wit and ability to make others laugh. Although he could be a bit mischievous at times, he lived life to the fullest. Rich graduated from Paw Paw High School in 1996 and went on to study at Southwestern Michigan University, for theater. Rich lived between Michigan and Colorado over the years. While living in Colorado, Rich was an accomplished raft guide, a job he truly enjoyed. Most recently he was enjoying life with his partner, Kendra at their Henstooth Homestead. Growing sweet corn and fruit trees, building a sauna and cold smoker, keeping honey bees and maintaining the property.  Rich’s creativity was reflected in everything he touched including his woodworking and welding. He loved the outdoors and could often be found fishing, hunting and camping. Making homemade maple syrup was his craft and something he always looked forward to. Rich will be deeply missed by his loving daughters, the pride and joy of his life, and the many people who had the pleasure of knowing him.... ...Read Full Story
